Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Maxine is a gorgeous black panther with the most amazing amber eyes you've seen. We don't know her backstory, as she was a transport from a downstate kill shelter.
She started out very skittish and shy, but oh my WORD has she blossomed in her foster home. Her foster mom jokes that she needs to buy a baby sling in order to get any work done. Maxine absolutely loves to climb into her foster mom's lap and then curl up in her arm like a baby and sleep. She'll crawl up for a nose boop, then rub her head on her foster mom's chin before she lies back down, reassured that she has enough attention.
She follows her foster mom around the house like a puppy, and like a dog, she wags her tail when she's happy. She even tries to insist on pets and attention as her foster mom cleans her litter box. After all, isn't that why her foster mom is crouched close to the ground - just to give this little love some attention?
When she isn't demanding attention, she has the typical kitten zoomies. She loves to run back and forth with her foster sister Laverne, playing chase and doing light mock wrestling. She's still figuring out how to play with toys, but she's getting more bold and adventurous each day with cat toys and loves to chase them across the floor.
This little sweetheart is still a bit skittish of loud noises and fast movements, however. She loves to explore, but she wants a cat she trusts to show her it's safe first. As a kitten, she does need to go into a home with another kitten or young cat, and it needs to be one who will be kind to her. We also recommend a family without young children.
Maxine is up to date with routine shots, litter box trained, altered and micro chipped.
