My story

Meet Cosmo, a cute little 3 y/o, 15 lb chi mix.

Background: Cosmo was brought in with 2 chi friends after being abandoned and forced to live on the streets. They were fed by neighbors for almost a year before we were called to help.

Personality: Cosmo is a shy guy but opening up more and more every day in his foster home. He is sweet, calm, and gets along with all people and dogs.

Health: Cosmo is up to date on all vaccines, neutered, and microchipped. At some point, Cosmo may have been hit by a car, fracturing his leg. He has a little limp now, but the injury is healed and it doesn’t slow him down.

Training: Cosmo is house-trained and crate-trained.

Ideal Home: Cosmo would love a doting family who will care for him the way every dog deserves, inside a comfortable and loving home. Cosmo enjoys the company of other dogs and would love a companion. A secure, fenced-in yard is required to keep him safe.

Adoption is a lifetime commitment. After an application and a verbal interview is completed and it is determined that the adoption is a compatible match, a contract is signed with specific guidelines. An adoption fee (usually between $250-$500) to help off-set medical, feeding and Rescue costs is collected. The contract states that at any time the adoption does not work out, the dog is to be returned to our Rescue group for alternate placement. The dog is not to be 'given away' or 'rehomed' or 'taken to the pound'. If there are other dogs in the home, they must meet prior to adoption. All family members in the household have to agree to the adoption. No dog is to be adopted as a 'gift'. No out of state adoptions.
