Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
It takes planet Mercury 88 days to go around the sun. Mercury the cat would like you to know that it takes him 365.
Mercury, with the cutest little tail in the entire universe has made his way to EHS, where he is currently enjoying life in a loving foster home.
ABOUT MERCURY: -In foster -Adult, domestic shorthair, male -Mercury is a super sweet, loving cat—he is a sweetheart. -Mercury is a curious soul, who follows his foster family everywhere, including while in the bath or shower! Does he think he has taken this on as his job? -Mercury allows all family members to pick him up, preferring the cradle hold. He does not like being held if you sit down. -He frequently naps on his foster sister’s bed, where he sleeps at night. Sometimes Mercury will nap in the living room to be closer to people. -He is often up for a good play session either chasing feather or bell wands, crumpled paper balls or trying to catch the elusive laser pointer. Mercury has a favourite Elmo soft toy and loves to explore boxes. -He is on a special vet prescribed diet, and he always knows when it is time to eat, often chirping away. Mercury is a chatty boy! -If he hears or sees the treat bag he meows and follows the treat-bearer around. Mercury enjoys batting his toy that dispenses treats savouring each one that pops out. -Mercury is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.
IDEAL HOME: -Mercury would do well with a family with young children. -He should be the only cat in the household so he can be the centre of his universe. - Mercury has a heart condition, hypertrophic cardiomyopathy (HCM), which is stable. He doesn`t need medication, however, annual cardiac monitoring by a vet is recommended. - Mercury also has early stage kidney disease. - Both of these conditions can be easily managed by his forever family.
Mercury would love to spend the rest of his life going around the sun with his very own “solar system.” Mercury is eager to start his new journey. Could it be with you? Schedule a meet and greet (on Earth) today to find out.
