Clarice here, I’m a nervous 10 month old girl who was found locally with my kittens. Thanks to the lovely folks who trapped us and brought us somewhere safe, my kittens have started finding families of their own. Now it’s my turn to find a warm home of my own where I can snuggle up and feel safe. My behavior shows that I was most likely born outside and have been living out there for the last 10 months with little contact with humans. Since we’ve arrived at the shelter, I have been very hesitant to trust the humans here and tend to run and hide when they clean my litter and give me food. I am looking for a quiet home with no children where I can hide out during the day and come out to eat at night when nobody is around. Due to me being in fight or flight mode since being born, I am still settling in here and will need to learn that humans are just trying to help me. I will need a family that understands I may never come around to wanting attention and will just enjoy having many beds to snuggle up in and food to eat at night. I am working on trusting my people and will need lots of time and patience to settle in and get used to my new environment.
