My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Spoon, a delightful feline with an amiable personality. She`s an adult cat who has a knack for winning hearts with her sweet and friendly demeanor. Spoon loves to interact with people, and her purrs of contentment are the perfect balm to any stressful day. She is playful and curious, always ready to explore her surroundings or engage in a game of chase with a toy mouse. Spoon is also a comforting companion, always ready to curl up beside you for a quiet evening. Despite her current residence in a shelter, Spoon’s spirit remains unbroken. She`s a testament to the resilience and love that pets can bring into our lives. Choosing to adopt Spoon means gaining a loyal friend, a joyful playmate, and a serene companion. Her love is unconditional and her companionship is a gift that keeps on giving. Welcome Spoon into your home and experience the unique bond that only a pet can offer.

More about this shelter

We are an open admissions shelter, meaning we take in homeless animals regardless of age, breed, health, temperament or lack of space. On average, we take in about 5,500 stray, surrendered and abandoned animals per year including dogs, cats, small mammals, birds and reptiles. We provide adoption services to find safe, happy homes for these pets; and also provide low-cost vaccination and microchip clinics to help safeguard them against illness or being lost forever.
