The Bagel rats arrived on a gloomy day with a puppy on their heels, making their first five minutes of shelter life rather hectic! Since then, staff has worked to make their lives much more regulated. These girls are enjoying their critter nations, treats, and different forms of enrichment. The Bagel girls have not been held throughout their lives, but we have noticed major improvements in their ability to be handled! They now come to the front of their critter nation kennel to greet staff and supervise the cleaning that is being done
The girls come in groups of bonded pairs. These duos must be adopted together. Please note that although the 4 rats did originally live in a cohort of 4, we have divided them into two groups as there was some unpredictable rivalry occurring.
Asiago and Sesame are the two smallest girls, and must be adopted out together. Sesame is very social, and Asiago follows in her footsteps. These two are learning to enjoy humans so so quickly!
Jalapeno Cheddar and Pumpernickel have the best names and the fattest tums. These two are a bit less willing to be held, but they are so fun to watch as they explore their home create new nests.
The adoption fee for one pair of the Bagel Rats is $18. They have all be vet checked by an exotics vet and deemed healthy.
