My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Llama, a 1-year-old, 38-pound terrier mix with a zest for life and a heart full of love! This happy, energetic girl thrives on playtime and treats. Llama absolutely adores running—she sprints like the wind and would excel in agility training with her love for jumping, leaping, and exploring. A fenced yard where she can stretch her legs is a must for this speedy pup!

Llama is crate trained and excellent while crated. While she may softly whine at first, she quickly settles down and remains quiet. She enjoys the company of other dogs, showering them with kisses and inviting them to play. She does play hard and likes to be the boss, but if her playmate isn’t interested, she happily finds something else to do.

This treat-motivated pup is eager to learn and already knows how to sit. She’s working on her manners, like not jumping up when excited or counter surfing for snacks. Llama loves squeaky toys and would make a great candidate for training in tricks or commands. Though she’s still a bit nervous on car rides, she’s willing to hop in and sit close to you for comfort while watching out the window. She does well on a leash and would benefit from regular walks and adventures.

Llama’s enthusiasm, smarts, and loving personality make her an incredible companion for an active family. Apply to adopt Llama today and let her brighten your life! Apply at bcaaofnj.org

Submitting an application is always our first step - it's free to apply! bcaaofnj.org

Additional adoption info

Our adoption process starts with the applicant filling out an adoption application for the pet they are interested in. When they have completed and submitted the application, the screening process is started, which consists of a vet check, phone interview and home visit. Once all the steps are completed, we determine, by our findings, if they are approved, and if so, then they are allowed to adopt from our organization. The final step is they must complete the adoption contract, along with the donation for the animal, which goes into our medical fund to defray their medical costs. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, up to date on all their shots, including rabies, they are parasite free and on heartworm preventative.
