Frisbee is a sweet, quirky, little Jack-Russell mix.
Frisbee loves his toys, treats, and playing with the other dogs; regularly wrestling and snuggling with both. A smart little guy, he is potty trained, will sit for treats and takes his cues from the dogs around him when it comes to training and behavior.
He can be a little shy with new people but quickly warms up and when he does, there’s no getting away from him as he will happily launch himself to your space to get belly rubs. He is incredibly sweet, and it has been a joy watching him warm up and become more confident.
His perfect home would have at least one other dog to play and snuggle with, someone who works from home or is able to spend a significant amount of time with him, no small children (as he might scare or knock them down when he gets the zoomies!), and a yard with things to sniff.
This pup was rescued from a high kill shelter in Texas. They will be ready to go home after 12/11!

- If upon meeting the dog of your choosing at your scheduled pickup time you find that you aren't a good match, your deposit will be fully refunded.
- Adoption fees include vaccines up until time of adoption, microchip, spay/neuter and 1st 30 days of free Pet insurance. We are not affiliated with Pet First pet insurance. (you have to sign up for the insurance or it will not go into effect). Adoption fees help cover the medical care of the animals while he or she waits for a new home, as well as food and transportation costs. These fees help to provide care for the other animals in the shelter or rescue group who may have medical bills that are much higher than any possible adoption fee. The money also acts as a donation to help support the organization as a whole, allowing the group to continue its efforts to rescue and rehome pets.
- The dogs in our care are fostered in Colorado, Texas, and New Mexico. While all dogs are picked up during our scheduled times, sometimes transport dates change due to unforeseen circumstances.

- Breed labels are a "best guess" by a shelter veterinarian and cannot be guaranteed.
- A new study has concluded that (in layman's terms), breed assumption is NOT indicative of behavior in mixed breed dogs. Therefore, if a dog looks presumably to be a German Shepherd breed, one cannot assume the dog will have a high prey drive. From the study: "Although many physical traits were associated with breeds, behavior was much more variable among individual dogs. In general, physical trait heritability was a greater predictor of breed but was not necessarily a predictor of breed ancestry in mutts. Among behavioral traits, biddability—how well dogs respond to human direction—was the most heritable by breed but varied significantly among individual dogs.
