My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Gucci. I am one of three sisters. I am 70 lbs and about a year old. I might fill out and get to about 80 lbs; I was thin and malnourished when found with my sisters but it didn’t take me long to feel better and put the weight back on. We believe I am a mix of Akbash (kind of like the cousin of a Great Pyrenees) and Hound… although my face looks a little labby. Out of the three of us, I am right in the middle of in your face and aloof! I am definitely affectionate but I can keep all four on the floor for the most part (unlike Macy!). I have a beautiful bushy tail so we think I have the most guardian breed between us. I am playful and I love to romp with the other dogs. I will need to work a bit on my indoor manners and my housebreaking when I get to my new home. Just going to be part of my growing up! I haven’t been around younger kids nor cats in an indoor environment BUT I have loved the visits from our 9 year old human. She's so much fun to run around with! A fenced in yard is required for me. I am going to be a medium energy girl who will love some activity but also will love to lounge! Interview

ASCZ will contact you for a phone call within 72 hours after submission of your application. Please check your spam for our emails!

Additional adoption info

Please email info@asecondchanceforziva.com for an adoption application if interested in adopting or fostering a dog from ASCZ and please email us after you have submitted an application. After all checks on the application have been completed, the potential adopter will speak with the rescue to discuss what they are looking for and if a dog will be a great fit in their home. Once an application is submitted, the adopter will hear from the rescue within 72 hours.

The fee for puppies under 6 months is $525 and the fee for dogs 6 months and older is $425. This fee contributes to (but not limited to) all core vaccinations for each puppy/dog, microchip, spay/neuter, HW testing and prevention and flea/tick prevention while under the rescue's care and transportation.

A Second Chance for Ziva, Inc. (ASCZ) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of dogs regardless of breed, size or age. ASCZ rescues, cares for and adopts out homeless dogs into loving and responsible homes. The rescue does not have a shelter but rather we rely on devoted fosters that open their homes and provide love and comfort to our dogs.
