My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say a gentle hello to Maddie. This little sweetheart was surrendered to our friends at The Greyson Hound Foster Fund from a tough situation. It broke Maddie's owner's heart to give her up, but it was the best thing for her. She is a small, affectionate girl who lives for cuddles and wants to have a best friend to love her forever. Maddie has gone through a lot in just nine months — she was found as a stray in Texas, then transferred to Rhode Island where she was adopted and lived in a home for several months before coming to us at Fast Friends. She is worried right now and looking for comfort. Going home will be another transition for her, so she needs a quiet home with a patient adopter that can help her feel more confident. Once she settles in, she will be the most adorable little shadow and you won't be able to imagine how you lived without her!

* Fast Friends adopts in the New England area. If you are interested in Madigan or one of our other available dogs, please complete an adoption application at www.helpinggreyhounds.org/adopt

More about this rescue

Fast Friends is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) dedicated to educating the public about Greyhounds and sighthounds from around the world with the primary goal of finding responsible, loving homes for them. Fast Friends envisions a world where no Greyhound or sighthound lacks for a loving home and these breeds are valued and celebrated for their uniqueness.

Fast Friends works closely with both international and domestic partners to bring retired racing Greyhounds and other sighthounds in need from countries where they have almost no chance of a local adoption to its facility in Swanzey, New Hampshire. Each dog receives high quality care with a focus on one-on-one staff time and individualized plans to help them overcome any neglect or trauma they have experienced so that they can be successful in a home. We are dedicated to taking in dogs with the most challenging circumstances.
