What is Rehome?
If you see pets listed by a private owner, it means that they’re adoptable through Adopt a Pet’s Rehome program – the safe and reliable way to find a loving new home for your pet.
Luna's Story: We adopted Luna, a Chihuahua-Papillon mix (Chion) about three years ago. She is around 6 or 7 years old. Luna spent the first three years of her life in a cage, unsocialized, which has shaped her strong and sometimes challenging personality.
Luna does have some aggression issues when meeting new people and dogs, but she adjusts once she gets to know them. She currently lives with children and does well with our family. She also shares a home with a Bouvier and a Pit Bull mix, and she has no issues with them. However, Luna cannot be in the same room as another of our dogs; they simply do not get along, and their interactions have become increasingly dangerous.
We are looking for a new home where Luna can be in a calm, structured environment. She would do best with an experienced owner who is patient, understanding, and able to give her the consistent care and attention she needs.
Luna is fiercely loyal and spirited. While she has her quirks, she can be a sweet companion.
