My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Koda was found in Little Elm back in Oct 2024. The finders tried relentlessly to find his owners but no one surfaced. They reached out to LHS for assistance finding him the forever home he deserves!

Koda is great with dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes. He does have a tendency to guard his food, as a result, he would do best in a home with older kids who understand his boundaries around food. He is crate trained and house broken. Koda knows basic commands and is eager to please. What he loves the most is being around people and is a very loyal companion.

He has been brought current on vaccinations, heartworm tested (negative), microchipped and will be neutered this week. If you would like more information or to meet this deserving, loyal companion, please complete the adoption application today: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-application/.

Age: 2 years old
Weight: 80lbs

We do not have a facility to house the dogs in our program. They are all kept in foster homes until they are adopted. Therefore, if you are interested in adopting from LHS, please complete an online application at http://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoptfoster/adoption-application/ and we will contact you asap about the status of your application.

Additional adoption info

Adopters will complete an adoption app. If he/she has a pet, we will check their vet reference and a home visit is not needed (as long as the vet reference is current). All pets must be up to date current on Heartworm prevention and S/N. If a home visit is needed, we will complete that ASAP--as we don't want any delays in the adoption process. The adoption fees are listed here: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/adoption-fees/. There is a 5-day grace period to make sure he/she is a good fit for your family. A full refund will be issued if the pet is returned within the 5-day trial period. Before you chose to adopt, check out this link for a few items to consider before making this big step: https://legacyhumanesociety.org/are-you-ready-to-adopt/
