Meet Chewy, a three and a half year old Pit/Lab mix weighing almost 70 pounds.
Chewy is a handsome boy who is rather stout and compact. He was surrendered to animal control along with Buddy as we were told they were living in a home that was not in fit condition for the dogs. Chewy loves to go on walks and follows his nose wherever he goes. He is a strong boy, especially since he is so compact and muscular, so he is needing some work on his leash manners but we are sure in a forever home it will be easy to teach him that. Chewy has old wounds that have scabbed and almost healed from what looks like a previously embedded collar which speaks to the less than ideal conditions he has lived in. Despite this Chewy is a friendly boy who is ready to go on new adventures today.

Our mission is to help you find a pet that meets your expectations and lifestyle. You’re invited to visit with a prospective pet in one of our "Meet N' Greet" rooms. We also offer "Meet N' Greets" for adopters wishing to introduce a current dog to a potential new playmate.
