Here's what the humans have to say about me:
ABOUT NALA
Nala is seeking a patient, loving owner! She is a 4-year-old pittie mix who would thrive in a calmer environment. Nala came to HAP when her owners could no longer care for her. During her first couple weeks at the shelter, she was incredibly scared and stressed. Our team would often find her curled up in the corner of her kennel, constantly shaking. Upon increased interactions with her, she would show signs that she wanted to make friends, but wasn't quite sure how to trust yet. While she has improved and is learning to trust humans, she still has moments where she is unsure with new people. Once she is comfortable with you, Nala is a very sweet girl. She loves to curl up in your lap for pets and kisses. She is also very treat motivated and loves any bacon or beef snacks. We think in a quieter environment, with less stress, Nala is likely to become a laid-back couch potato!
**Nala is a fearful, timid girl and may react if her boundaries are pushed too much. Due to this, she would do best in a home without children.
If you are interested in adopting this dog, please submit an adoption questionnaire! Our adoption process is on a first-come, best-match basis and we are not able to hold animals. If you are interested in this specific dog but it ends up not being the best fit upon meeting, our adoption counselors will work with you to help find a match! All household members, including children and other dogs, must come along for the meeting to make sure it's a good fit. If a match is made, we encourage same-day adoptions! Our adoption fees include the animals' spay/neuter, microchip, age-appropriate vaccinations and preventatives, fecal testing, heartworm testing, and a small bag of food to get you started.
