Stevie is a 5 year old, 10 lb. miniature Dachshund.
Little Stevie is loving his new life since coming to the rescue from a very sad situation where he lived outside in rough conditions. Despite his past, he is a loving little companion who can't get enough affection! Stevie is learning a lot now that he is safe, he loves playing and running around in his yard, he's almost perfected potty training and is learning that leashes aren't so scary. For now, he will need a fenced in yard while he is learning to walk on a leash. He is crate trained too! This little boy thinks he's a big dog and prefers hanging out in the company of dogs twice his size or larger! He can be picky about his friends, so proper introductions will ensure his success in a new home. Stevie would absolutely love to be an only pet so he can soak up all the love and affection from his forever family! He is not a fan of kids and prefers a calmer, more mature energy in his forever home. If you are looking for a total lovebug who will curl up with you on these cold winter nights, Stevie is your man! Apply to meet him today!
