Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
If you'd like to meet Loki, please fill out the adoption application at phpdr.org/adopt. We do not respond to inquiries sent on Adopt-a-Pet.
Loki
Male, Under 1 year old
Mix
Loki was sadly left behind from a move. He was with his mom and siblings, they were in danger when a volunteer found them and thankfully took them in, he was able to receive vet care. This surely saved his life! We are so grateful for our supporters who allow us to help these poor souls.
Loki is fun, sweet, and a little shy. He loves playing with other dogs and he does well with cats (just a little curious). Loki LOVES to cuddle, happily a lap dog! He is potty trained, responds well, and is well behaved. Loki has puppy energy and will do great with a yard to play in. He gets along with everyone.

Home Check
We complete a veterinary reference/rescue reference (if applicable) and home check for each of the dogs adopted through our organization.
Additional adoption info
At the time of adoption, all of our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and heartworm tested as appropriate for age, given flea/tick and heartworm preventative treatment and micro-chipped.
You must be 18+ to adopt and a Missouri resident.
Check your HOA or lease for pet permissions.
We do not adopt out dogs that will be living outside on a chain, in a fenced yard or in an outdoor kennel--that's why our foster volunteers work hard to crate and potty train our dogs so they can live inside as a part of your family!

More about this rescue
People Helping Paws Dog Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that is fully volunteer-run and operated. We specialize in pulling pit bulls and bully breeds from kill shelters in our area. We save the most at-risk dogs that have medical or other issues which prevent them from being adopted. Our team works to rehabilitate these pups and give them a proper chance at life! Since our formation, PHPDR has saved over a thousand pets from euthanasia and, with your support, we continue to grow in the number of lives we save!
In addition to our foster/adoption program, we want to help keep pets in loving homes. To do this, we provide spay/neutering, medical services and dog food to families in need in our community.
