My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Nana!

Nana entered Lancaster Animal Shelter as a stray during the holidays. When she wasn't claimed, we scooped her up on January 11th to make her a Frosted Face. We estimate Nana to be 8 years old, and she weighs 84 lbs.

Nana bears the scars of a difficult life before rescue: her snout and ears are studded with puncture wounds (likely bite marks), and her eyes reflect both a painful past and hope for better days ahead. And those better days are already here!

Nana is currently on a two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn more about her in a home setting, while she gets all the love & cuddles she deserves!

Prior to leaving on a Fling, Nana went on her first FFF group hike, and she earned kudos for being "an incredibly gentle, easy hiking companion - totally unreactive to other dogs, lovely with my young son, and a great walker with zero leash pulling."

Nana's Fling Mom shares:

"Nana might possibly be the cuddliest pup in the world. She would prefer to be touching at all times and would absolutely LOVE a Baby Bjorn that fits a 70lbs doggo!

Her favorite thing is when we are all home and settled in one room together. Couches, recliners and human beds are her jam, dog beds are ok for short naps. The more pillows and blankies available for nesting, the better!

Are you, or someone you know, looking for a super cuddly pup? Nana would like to chat about how many hours a day you have available for snuggling and head massages."
