Why we love him: In addition to his movie star looks, Ziggy has a heart full of love he is glad to share and is so much fun to be around.
Ziggy is one of the handsomest dogs you will ever meet! His beautiful blue eyes are the color of a perfect summer sky and his soft and silky coat is perfect for petting. Ziggy is two years old and weighs 70 pounds.
He is our shelter sweetheart and is so friendly and good natured. Ziggy is a true free spirit and such delightful company!
Ziggy adores accompanying you on daily walks and is a well mannered, enthusiastic and congenial companion. He is so curious and interested in his surroundings.
Ziggy also has the best time in the fenced yard. He especially loves playing with the toys and enjoying games of fetch. He bounds about in total joy and is so agile and athletic. Ziggy is truly poetry in motion!
Ziggy will sit for the reward for a treat, offer his paw for you to shake, then rise up on his back legs to give you a hug!
Ziggy is so affectionate and enjoys being petted and loved on. We love spending time with him!
He has enjoyed play groups with his fellow shelter companions. If you have another dog, we do require a meet and greet to ensure compatibility.
Ziggy represented the shelter at an offsite event and was an absolute star! He was great with all the dogs and people he met.
Ziggy also enjoyed a field trip to a local park and had such fun. He loved riding in the car, too.
He will be such a fun, loyal and devoted companion. Ziggy is the best!

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!
All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
