Charley is a soulful, older dog that looks like he’s always dressed for the right event with his tuxedo-like markings.

With his fluffy, curly coat, he can be the perfect gentleman once he has a moment to warm up to you, as he is a little shy at first. After that, he will just snuggle up and stay near you all day long, every day.

Charley would do best in a home where someone is around more often than not and would benefit from a doggy sibling his size or smaller to keep him company.

Charley has made great strides with his leash and door manners, crate- and house-training along with basic commands in his foster home. He absolutely loves to tag along with you on a car ride and discover a new place, like a local coffee shop.

We are going to be highly selective about who adopts our dogs. Our adoption agreements have extensive guidelines and requirements regarding the care and handling of our dog from the time of adoption through the rest of the pet's life. If we do not feel that the home is a perfect fit for our dog or if we are not confident the potential adopters are capable of upholding our strict care guidelines, we will not adopt our dog to them.
