My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How Bear and Tank Goliath arrived:
Bear and Tank Goliath were brought in by their previous owner on November 7, 2024.

Why these two are the ones for you:

Meet Bear! This lovable senior is searching for a cozy spot to enjoy his golden years with his best friend, Tank Goliath (#245487). These two are inseparable and can often be found snuggled up together on their shared dog bed - true friendship goals! Bear is the definition of easygoing, with a soft spot for treats (he might argue there's no such thing as "too many"). He's happy to share his world with respectful kids and has excellent manners on leash and in the house. This sweet boy will need a dental cleaning soon, but his biggest wish is to spend his days napping on your lap or lounging on the couch, soaking up all the love. Are you ready to make Bear's dream of a warm, loving home come true? Stop by our Oceanside Campus and meet him and Tank today!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
