My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Moose came to us recovering from mange and with a nasty eye issue. The vet confirmed he had entropion and needed surgery on both eyes. After the surgery was complete, we were warned that his right eye had a deep ulcer and there was concern he might lose the eye, but he is such a warrior! He rested and took all his meds and eye drops, and his eye is on the mend. Another check-up or two and he should get the all clear!

In the meantime moose has learned sit, stay and wait (before grabbing at a toy or a treat). He also knows “come” when he’s running in the yard and it’s time for a rest. He is housebroken, working on kennel training, and good with other dogs and cats. He is a big boy and will get bigger quickly. He needs training and lots of exercise as he grows. Experience with the breed is preferred.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

We have an adoption application, we do require a vet reference and/or a home visit to make sure our animals are going to a home suited for their needs. We also require an adoption contract to be signed stating that they will care for the animal and if they can no longer keep the animal, they are required to give them back to Gigi's Rescue. Our adoption fee is $350 which covers all the vetting for each animal such as spay/neuter, all required vaccines, heartworm test, dental cleaning if necessary, deworming and the dogs are all kept on heartworm preventative and flea/tick preventative.
