Please consider that some of these dogs have been abandoned or ignored by their previous owners, having little interaction with someone who cares about them.
When adopted, they will need time to adjust to the changes in their life.
Hi, I'm Tia! I'm a gorgeous female GSD with an estimated DOB of 6/20/24 who was transferred from a shelter where I arrived as a stray, and FRGSR agreed to take me. The shelter setting was really stressful for me, and I was having a hard time relaxing enough to allow my loving side to come out. I'm now living in a foster home with another GSD and I'm doing much better. My foster mom says, "Miss Tia is a cuddle bug and she likes to be touching a human. If you stop petting her, she'll paw at you. She's a typical puppy who's bouncy, rowdy and she's learning not to jump on people. She's also learning that arms and fingers aren't chew toys. She plays by herself very well. She's working on house-training and she does well in a crate while we are gone. She is gentle with cats! She's good with other dogs with proper introductions and monitoring. She can initially show some leash reactivity and she'll even be guarded off leash, but when all is said and done, she's vocal yet submissive. While meeting new people, like many GSDs, she can be cautious and vocal, but her heart can quickly be won over with treats and sweet-talking. She's also working on her leash manners." Tia will need an adopter who's had some GSD experience and will continue with her training and socialization. If you are interested, please go to adoptagsd.org and submit an online application. Adoption fee is $450
Although we do our best to keep our adoptable animals page as current as possible, the animals you see may already be in an adoption process.
