My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hey there! I’m Spanky, a 65-pound loving and confident boy who’s always ready to make new friends—people and dogs alike! After I was brought to the shelter by a kind person who found me running loose, no one came to claim me, but that just means that I get a fresh start! I’m staying with a great foster parent, and I’m loving my home life. Playing is a favorite pastime of mine: give me a bouncy ball and I will happily entertain myself! My foster parent has also been impressed by my smarts, as I pick up on new skills and commands very quickly, especially when cheese or pieces of hot dog are my reward. I love spending time with people, whether that cuddling with my foster parent or the excitement of meeting someone new. Just one thing—I’ve got a bit of a chase instinct when it comes to small animals, so a cat-free home would be best for me. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, and loyal companion, I just might be your guy!
