My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Frankie!

Frankie is a social, energetic pup looking for an adopter who can keep up with his enthusiasm for life! He came to us as a stray, and while we don't know his past, we do know he's a playful, affectionate dog who's ready for a fresh start.

🏡 My Ideal Home
Frankie is best suited for an adult-only home with adopters who are experienced in handling high-energy dogs. He thrives in a structured environment with patient adopters who can work on his manners and provide mental and physical enrichment. Frankie would love an adopter who enjoys training, as he's eager to learn!

👶 Good with Kids?
No young children (under 13). Frankie gets excited easily and has a tendency to be mouthy when taking treats, so he'll do best in a home without small kids.

🐕 Good with Other Dogs?
Frankie enjoys meeting other dogs! He greets with a wiggly body and even gives friendly face licks. If you have another dog at home, we recommend a meet-and-greet to ensure a good match.

🦮 Leash Manners
Frankie walks well on a leash with a soft wagging tail and does not show reactivity toward people or other dogs. He does pull a bit but responds well to guidance.

🩺 Overall Health
Frankie has overcome some medical challenges, including a bout of pneumonia, but he's now in great health and ready for his forever home. He's gained weight, is eating well, and has shown resilience through his recovery.

🧠 Behavior Determination: Level 3
Frankie is an energetic, excitable dog who needs training to improve his impulse control. He jumps up on handlers when over-aroused and can be mouthy when taking treats. He will benefit from positive reinforcement training to help him channel his energy in the right way.

Potential Challenges:
✅ Basic manners/impulse control
✅ Mouthiness (takes treats with moderate pressure)
✅ Can become overstimulated and jump up on people

Frankie is currently on behavior medication to help with anxiety and overexcitement. His future adopters should be willing to continue training and working with him on these behaviors.

🎉 Fun Fact!
Frankie is a total social butterfly! He loves meeting new people and dogs and is happiest when he's getting attention and snacks (even if he sometimes forgets his manners).

Frankie is a loving, enthusiastic dog who just needs a little guidance to be his best self. If you're looking for a companion who's full of personality and ready for adventure, come meet Frankie today!
