My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Blink, a beautiful Lab mix with a heart as sweet as her soulful eyes! Blink is a gentle and quiet companion who’s learning to embrace life and all the love it offers. When Blink came to Saving Grace, she was suffering from an eye condition called entropion which is where the eye lids roll inward which is very uncomfortable. Blink’s had an eye surgery to correct this and is now much more comfortable. It’s amazing how having a little work done can really give you a fresh look and in Blink’s case, a lot more comfort as well. Blink has fully recovered and is ready to live her best life. Here’s a little more about her:
• Sleeping Through the Night: Absolutely! Blink snoozes peacefully and is a great overnight companion.
• Crate Experience: No issues here—Blink is a pro! She goes right into her crate without fuss and loves to pick out a stuffed animal to snuggle with.
• Leash Experience: Blink does well on a leash, though she can be a little shy in new surroundings. With patience, she’ll gain confidence in exploring the world.
• Potty Trained: Blink is mostly potty trained but has had a few accidents. She’s so quiet that she doesn’t always let you know when she needs to go out.
• Dog and Cat Friendly: Yes! Blink enjoys running and playing outside with other dogs and gets along well with cats.
At first, Blink may be shy and reserved. She might prefer the safety of her crate and take a few days to trust her new surroundings. But once she comes out of her shell, she reveals her true self: a loving, sweet, and tender-hearted companion.
Blink is ready to find a patient and understanding home where she can continue to blossom. If you’re looking for a gentle soul to fill your days with quiet affection, Blink is the one for you!

Additional adoption info

All puppies and dogs at Saving Grace are crate trained, have been spayed/neutered, are up to date on their vaccines, are on heartworm preventative and have been microchipped. Their adoption fee is $350.00. Each has been carefully screened for disposition and temperament in order to provide your home with a safe companion that will enjoy life as your new family member.

If you are interested in meeting one of our dogs, please complete an Adoption Application at our website: savinggracenc.org

Sending an Application does not commit you to an adoption, it simply provides us with background information on potential homes. Please review our Adoption Contract before sending an Application to ensure that you will be able to provide the requirements stated in the contract. The Contract must be signed at the time of adoption.

Saving Grace is a small, non-profit 501-C3 organization operated by volunteers only. Most of our animals come from rural animal control shelters where lack of space and resources limit their time and adoption possibilities. Thank you for choosing Saving Grace! We look forward to helping you find your new companion and family member.

More about this rescue

Located in central North Carolina and officially established in 2004, Saving Grace has placed over 15,000 dogs into homes since its inception. These dogs were from rural animal control facilities with little resources and who would otherwise not had the opportunity to receive necessary veterinary care and a chance at adoption. While we have grown significantly over the years and have been successful growing our numbers we still see many great dogs miss the opportunity of adoption.

We have a large variety of dogs varying in breed, size, shape, age and needs and would love to work with you to find you a great dog companion while providing a dog in need with a loving home. Our dogs are chosen based on temperament and socialization. We get some of the most charming, unique mix breeds as well as some striking purebreds. Our dogs come from rural, underserved areas and while they may have little experience as an indoor family member, they have the temperament and personality that is sure to bring much love and appreciation to their new home. Most have started their crate training while in our program. Veterinary care including spay/neuter, microchip, heartworm test, vaccinations, monthly preventatives are provided prior to each adoption. If you would like more information about adopting one of our dogs, please email savinggrace@savinggracenc.org
