My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our Wicked babies! This crew has quite the story, so get your tissues ready. Born in the middle of the hurricane Helene, just east of Nashville…this boys mama kept him and his siblings safe under a pile of wood until she could find help. When the weather let up, she went to find a human…and walked that human to her babies for help. From there, one of our favorite partner organizations Flying Pig Sanctuary, stepped in and took in mama a babies to keep them warm and safe…just in time before the hillside caught on fire.

While we don’t know exactly what they are, we believe they are lab/hound mixes. They are smart but will require someone willing to work with them on training- or else they will do what lab puppies like to do…get into trouble! :). They have all be exposed to children, other dogs and cats. They will do great with an active person or family who is ready to add excitement, energy and love into their home!

We have been working hard on crate and house training as well as leash walking with these pups and they are getting a solid B+.

Their adoption fee is $325. They will be fully vaccinated, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed and on preventative. If you think Boq is a fit for you, apply today!

Please note that we are a completely volunteer run organization and may take 48 hours to respond. Please make sure to fully complete your application. If responses are not complete, you may not be contacted due to the volume of applications.

We can only set up meet and greets once an application has been approved. Thank you for understanding.

More about this rescue

We are a foster based animal rescue in the Nashville area.

Our mission is to work as a shelter diversion for animals who are facing homelessness, through no fault of their own. We provide vet care, a foster and adoption for animals belonging to owners who are homeless or living below the poverty level, where rehoming is their only option.

The majority of SOARescue animals come to us through our big sister organization SAFPAW (Southern Alliance for People and Animal Welfare).
If you would like to learn more about SAFPAW and their weekly spay/neuter transport, homeless outreach program and women's post recovery home, please visit their website at www.safpaw.org.

If SOARescue has the capacity to aid with other strays or owner surrenders, we will gladly do so. Our goal is to help relieve pressure on the over-burdened shelter system.
