HAPPY was born around 10/9/2024 and weighs about 17 pounds. We think he could grow into the 40 to 50 pound range? It’s a guess at this point, so if you are set on a certain weight dog, he might not be right for you. He was rescued by Valerie, as she was pulling into a gas station in Aguadilla, PR and this little guy was crossing the street. Valerie rescued him and took him home and was able to get him to a vet in PR. We connected her with a woman from Buffalo, Andrea, that was in PR and flying back to Buffalo and was happy to bring HAPPY back with her. The vet that saw Happy thinks he has some Collie in him, but like many stray and street dogs of PR, you can expect to see at least a dozen different breeds on a DNA test. We named him Happy because of the first picture we saw of him, and his smile melted our hearts. A little guy that got off to a rough start in life, and he has a smile that brightens your whole life. He is playful and fun, still learning basic obedience and house training. We believe he would get along with both cats and kids at this point, as he is still getting acclimated and seems to just go with the flow. Whoever adopts Happy will be very lucky to add this lil guy to your family. PS: The one photo is of Happy in Puerto Rico looking not so happy.
The Adoption Fee for this dog is $__500.00______.
