My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This puppy is in Tennessee. Adoption Donation $250 if picked up in TN, $325 plus transport fee for out-of-state adoptions.

Are you ready to welcome a bundle of energy, love, and personality into your life? Meet Apple, a 10-month-old  Australian Shepherd mix (with maybe a hint of Spaniel!) who’s full of zest for life and endless affection to give. At just 24 pounds, this compact, leggy girl is the perfect size to accompany you on every adventure—and snuggle up afterward! This beautiful girl is house trained, crate trained & leash trained! Apple is the definition of a people pleaser. She’s incredibly loving, a cuddle monster at heart, and truly Velcro in the best way—she loves to be by your side, soaking up all the pets and love you can give! Her charming personality wins over everyone she meets; even the vet staff couldn’t stop fawning over her. She’s smart, food-motivated, and quick to learn new tricks. She knows "sit," "stay," and "down," and is currently mastering “shake” and redirecting her excited barks. What’s even more adorable? Apple gets sleepy like clockwork around 9–10 PM, making her the perfect companion for a calm evening routine. She’s also hilariously vocal, letting out little sighs when she’s bored or telling you when it’s time to play or head outside. And when she’s feeling extra excited but knows not to jump, she’ll adorably squirm on her back, begging for belly rubs. Apple loves: Puzzle toys and games – She’s a clever girl who loves a good challenge. Chew toys and squeaky toys are her jam! Playing with friends – Apple is fantastic with other dogs, especially those who can match her high-energy play style. Cuddles – She’ll happily curl up next to you for some quality snuggle time. Running and exploring – Whether it’s leash walks, a fenced yard, or just zoomies, Apple is always up for a little adventure. Apple would thrive in an active home—she’s got a lot of energy to burn and loves to be on the move! A runner or someone with a fenced yard would be perfect for her. She’d also love a doggy sibling who can keep up with her playful personality. However, senior or very small dogs might not be ideal, as her enthusiasm can sometimes be too much for them. She needs a home that can match her energy, provide consistent training, and help her feel safe and loved. If there’s another dog in the home, they should have a similar energy level so they can be the best of friends! If you’re looking for a playful, loving, and smart pup who’s ready to be your partner in crime (and cuddle buddy!), Apple is waiting to meet you. Come meet this sweet, charming girl—you’ll fall head over heels!

A.A.R.F. (All About Rescue and Fixin' Inc.) http://aarf-tn.com/ is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) no kill animal rescue organization located in the Upper Cumberland area of Tennessee. A.A.R.F. is comprised of unpaid volunteers and survives only on public donations. Thank you for thinking adoption first!

Prior to adoption, all canines and felines are spayed or neutered, have received their age appropriate vaccinations, have been de-wormed for common parasites, and have received treatment for prevention of fleas and ticks. All canines over the age of 6 months have been tested for heartworm. All canines are put on heartworm prevention as soon as possible - this means dogs as soon as they are tested negative. Puppies are put on prevention immediately. All felines, regardless of age, have been tested for Feline Leukemia/FIV. Each animal receives a health check by a licensed veterinarian prior to adoption. Anything else found will be treated by our organization prior to adoption.
