My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Straight from Bluey to you, please help us welcome our two fabulous heelers, Daniel and Trooper!
These two adorable boys were found as strays and brought to us by another shelter. They are estimated to be a year old, weigh about 50lbs. and are not a bonded pair!
Daniel and Trooper have brought their carefree and joyful attitudes with them and we are in love! They have never met a stranger and love to snuggle!
They were staying outside all night in these cold temps and not going in their rooms, so we built man caves for each of them (and they still have complete access to their apartments). Trooper loved his and appreciated the coziness, while Daniel also loved his but thought it was more fun to stand ON TOP of his!
Please SHARE their stories and come meet these amazing boys - Daniel and Trooper remind us daily to just live life to the fullest!

Additional adoption info

If all goes well and you decide to pursue adoption, you will be asked to complete a pre-adopt. Once your family, including any dogs, have also met with the dog you wish to adopt, your application will be submitted to the Adoption Committee for review. We estimate the pre-adoption process can take up to 14 days or longer.

Please note: AAS is committed to finding the best fit for each of our dogs. For this reason, we will accept multiple applications for a dog. In the case of multiple applications, we will select the applicant that is the best fit based on the needs of the dog.

Adoption fee for puppy/adult dogs is $300.00.
Adoption fee for senior dogs is $150.00.

Dogs qualify as a senior based on their stature/weight and age. The scale below shows the age at which a dog attains “senior” designation:

0-20 lbs: 11 years
