My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

All of our dogs are spayed/neutered, shots current (DHPP, Bordetella and Rabies where applicable), dewormed, flea and tick treated, and microchipped.

Zelda is a 7 month old sweetheart that we rescued from the shelter. She is very sweet and loving. Constantly rubbing against her persons legs and giving head butts. She has been in a home with other resident cats and large breed dogs, so she could easily join a home with either. She loves her humans but is equally enamored with her animal friends. She has been very friendly with anyone she meets, furry and human alike.

She loves to play hard and then enjoy a luxurious nap. We joke about the fact that she always has a little bit of a sleepy look, but it's a very endearing quality about her. She would enjoy a cat tree in her new home, and she is obsessed with soft blankets. She is sure to bring a huge smile to her new parent or families face every day. She has been spayed, vaccinated, tested negative for FIV/FeLV, dewormed, flea treatment applied and microchipped. Her adoption fee is $200.

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

Please read the biography on the dog first and if the dog sounds like a match, pls fill out an application on our website.

2.
Interview

We review applications and we choose the application(s) that appear to be the best match and we do a phone interview.

3.
Approve Application

If the Interview Team agrees it is a match, then we approve the home.

4.
Pay Fee

In order to make an appointment to meet the dog you are interested in, we require a $50 deposit that goes towards your adoption fee.

5.
Meet the Pet

Once the deposit is paid we then set up the home to meet the dog.

6.
Pay Fee

Pay the Fee and take the dog home!

Doggie Protective Services is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization. Our rescued dogs and cats live in foster homes until we can find them appropriate, responsible, loving homes. We carefully screen potential adoptors through an application and interview process.
