Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
You can't own a Mountain Lion but there's always Beethoven!! He's a handsome, brown Tabby with a beautiful "ticked" coat and emerald green eyes. The vet guesstimated his age to be around 2 years but we can't know, for certain. This boy was originally trapped and fixed with an ear tip because he was a feral, community cat in Sun Valley.
A kind homeowner was feeding him and noticed he was showing signs of wanting to go inside her house. Apparently, this fella decided he was done with life on the mean streets and now shows no interest, whatsoever, of going back out there.
When I first began posting his photos on our Facebook page, many people started commenting how much he resembled P-22, our famous and beloved Mountain Lion.
We took him back to the vet for a wellness exam and had him combo-tested. He is FIV positive. Other than that, he's a happy, healthy companion who's so gentle, he doesn't even mind claw trimmings!
You'll find his complete rescue journey chronicled in Photo Album #31 on our Facebook page: "Save The Leadwell Kitties". There you'll find ALL of our rescued cats and kittens along with updates from all our fosters and adopters!
Beethoven's adoption will include his:
* Neuter surgery,
* De-worming,
* FVRCP vaccinations,
* Rabies vaccination,
* Combo-test (for FIV/FeLV),
* Flea and mite treatment (with Revolution Plus),
* and Micro chipping!
~ $150. adoption fee, adoption contract and home check apply / $250 for a pair ~
* Please only contact us if you'll be making him a permanent member of your household and will be keeping this big lug safe indoors.
Interested in becoming a much-needed foster? Please send us a message with your best contact info, the type of home environment you can provide and, most-importantly, the City in which you live. Thanks!

Their adoption process
1.
Submit Application
Once you see a cat/kitten who's peaked your interest and/or tugged on your heart, you can send an email inquiry through the website.
2.
Interview
Once you've returned the completed application (via email), we follow up with a phone interview: at which time we set up a meet-n-greet.
3.
Home Check
If it's the right match for you, your family, and the animal, we would then conduct a home check; for any escape or safety hazards.
4.
Meet the Pet
Typically, we'd conduct the home ck prior to the meet-n-greet. That way, you can take the cat/kitten(s) home with you!
5.
Pay Fee
Our adoption fee is $150 (unless otherwise stated), $250 for a pair.

Go meet their pets
All our adoptable pets are featured on Petfinder.com. I also create fun and entertaining videos on each animals, host them on YouTube and post ads on Craigslist; under the Pets section.
It's important to educate the public on responsible pet ownership, the importance of spaying/neutering, fostering, and adopting. I also enjoy teaching others how to humanely trap stray and feral cats.

More about this rescue
We are a small, volunteer-based rescue located in the San Fernando Valley focusing, primarily, on cats and kittens. We rescue most of the animals through trapping in our local communities, or pulling from our City and County shelters. Our adoptable pets live with us in our home or in foster homes. Fosters are always needed. Please consider becoming one today?
You can find more photos, videos and updates on all our rescues by visiting us on Facebook at: "Save The Leadwell Kitties" (which is a public page). Please feel free to browse through the many photo albums. I believe in transparency and rely on the support of volunteers, donors, and like-minded, rescuers. We also partner with other 501C3 Non profit rescues.
Additionally, we support and practice TNR (Trap, Nueter, Release) of community cats.
One person really CAN make a difference. Join us there and find out how you can help!
