There is nothing that I love more than a dog that is happy no matter what is going on around him. Jerry Ark the blue eye wonder is probably one of the happiest boys I have ever met. He is such a character, with so much personality that you can't help but smile when he's in your presence. He has this ability to be able to make you smile and laugh no matter how bad of a day you're having. He brings light and laughter wherever he goes.
Watch his video and you'll find your self grinning from ear to ear:

Jerry is believed to be lab mix approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 60lbs. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. We also believe he may even have some husky mixed in there somewhere because of his beautifully striking unique eyes. One of his eyes is piercing blue that will make anyone envious of him.
Not only is Jerry a ray of sunshine everywhere he goes making everyone smile by just being in his presence but he is so gentle and loving too. He absolutely loves affection and you can tell just by the way he looks up at you with those gorgeous eyes of his that he just wants to make you happy.
One of my favorite ways that Jerry shows affection is the way he will just sit right in front of you giving you all of his attention and embracing every pet you give him like it's the best thing on earth. He also will do the tiniest little baby scoots towards you, moving closer and closer inch by inch until he is almost in your lap and he is so gentle about it too. He'll sometimes even give you his paw almost like he's saying "hey, I love you too and love you giving me affection." He's so incredibly sweet and has the sweetest soul. He also can't resist a good belly rub. He likes to slowly slide all the way down to the ground where half his body is leaning on you and the other half is laying on the ground belly up just waiting for those famous belly rubs he loves so much.
Jerry is a fun active boy that would do best in a home that has a backyard where he can have plenty of room to zoom around and explore. He has an adventurous heart and we can see him being a great hiking partner for those that like to go camping, hit the trails, and we believe he would even make a great running partner. He'll be able to keep up pace and will be all tail wags the entire time. He is the best of both worlds when it comes to being playful and active to snuggle and calm. He does both so effortlessly.
Jerry is very dog friendly and makes friends everywhere he goes! He is the life of the party and he knows how to have a good time. One of his favorite games to play with other dogs is chase. Almost like he's playing a game of "tag, you're it," weaving and zooming past other dogs. When you're watching him play, you can tell he's over there thinking, "oop you almost got me, hehe but you didn't." Jerry isn't play all the time either. He knows when it's time to take a break and isn't the type of dog that is going to annoy another dog if they don't want to play. Not to say he's not going to at least won't give it try, but he is very good at respecting other dogs that aren't interested in playing. He knows how to take a hint and we love that about him. Jerry even extends friendships to small dogs as well and does best with dogs no smaller than 25 lbs. In Jerry's world, all dogs are friends, big and small. Jerry also isn't the type of dog that needs to have another dog in the home to help him open up and feel comfortable. He is a happy go-lucky confident guy all on his own. However, we would love to see him in a home with another playful dog that will play his favorite game with him and one that will be the his best bud because that is exactly how he is going to be with your dog. Jerry is your dog's best friend that you didn't even know they needed.
Jerry would love to be adopted out by a family that has a backyard where he can zoom around in, roll in the grass, play a few games of chase with his doggy sibling, and sunbathe in grass on those nice sunny days. He is crate trained, potty trained, has great house manners, walks well on a leash, and he’s treat motivated! Which makes any additional training you want to do with him that much more enjoyable for the both of y’all. We also believe that due to his sweet and loving demeanor that he would be a great addition to a family with kids. He has been around kids ages as young as 4 years old and kids ages 13 and up and is fantastic around them. So much so that he even listens to commands that come from a 13 year old. He is very gentle and loving around kids and loves to give kisses so if you have small children that are use to bigger dogs loving on them, they are going love Jerry. He already has all of the qualities that make him a 100% a good boy, we can only imagine how much more special he is going to become once he finds his forever family.
We are willing to test Jerry with anything you need us to in order to ensure it’s the perfect match for you! We can make anything happen! Just let us know.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.
Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!
Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.
Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.
The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.
It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!
