Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet the cutest and funniest rare breed of long-nosed Boston Terrier you`ll ever see! (OK, maybe he`s only part Boston, mixed with something that has a longer snout, like a Chihuahua -- but we think that makes him even cuter.)
Patches has been through some “ruff” stuff in his past, but he is learning about the good life since coming into rescue. For that reason, he`s a little slow to trust new people and needs a patient and nurturing home where his good behavior will be rewarded and reinforced.
Every day with Patches is an adventure as his funny and sweet personality reveals itself a little more. His likes include toys (obsessed!), belly rubs, naps next to his humans, burrowing under blankets (that’s his Chihuahua side), and treats of any kind. Fun fact: Patches can sense a hidden dog treat from across the house and will sniff it out with ease. Maybe he should have gone into a life of crime-fighting!
Patches is a very smart boy who is house trained and sleeps quietly in his kennel every night. He previously lived with another dog and gets along with the small and medium sized dogs in his foster home. Although it takes some time for him to warm up, he is very loving and enjoys snuggling once he feels he can trust you. He is heartworm negative, neutered, and up to date on his shots.
We recommend him for a home with grown-ups only, as he can react defensively. His foster family is working with him on some training, and he has shown himself to be very treat-motivated and a quick learner! We are confident with consistent reinforcement he will be the perfect boy for his future family. If you would like to learn more about Patches, please submit an application!

More about this rescue
S.A.V.E. Rescue Coalition works to promote adoption through new adoption events, more public exposure of pets for adoption, and help the public make a good match with an adoptable animal.
Rescue groups work very hard to save animals every day, often using their own money, sacrificing time with family etc. We have animals from shelters and the streets of Houston that are now adoptable pets and we area helping these animals find permanent, loving homes.
We are all volunteer and no funds are spent for salaries, benefits etc. All money goes directly to the rescue group or their animals.
