HOW TO ADOPT: This cat is participating in our Shelter Cat Getaway foster program, which gives cats a vacation from the shelter and lets them enjoy home life while they wait to be adopted. To schedule a time to meet this cat, please contact Mary at mmccarroll@arl-iowa.org or Carol at cgriglione@arl-iowa.org.
---
- A quiet, shy cat that takes some time to warm up and make new friends, but once he does he will be your best companion
- Once he feels comfortable in his environment, his three favorite things are head boops, cheek rubs, and making air biscuits
- He loves being petted and using a brush on the side of his face that will always result in loud purring and flopping to his side for air biscuits
- He is generally not a hop in your lap cat, but wants to be near his humans without being on top of someone
- Likes to play with strips of cloth, but is mostly content with being the silent partner buddy and doing a little cuddling while napping
- Has lived with another cat in his foster home, and may enjoy another very low key cat friend in his new home, after a slow introduction
- He has not been around young, busy children, and may best be suited to a more mature home, or with older children who are calm and gentle with him
- A lovely cat with a big heart who will be perfect for a relaxed person or family who will enjoy spending time with him and hearing his wonderful purr
- If you are looking for a devoted, low maintenance cat to love and spoil, then he is the perfect choice!
All adoptable cats and kittens are spayed/neutered, microchipped and up to date on vaccinations (rabies and FVRCP as appropriate for their age)
