My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Ethel!

Ethel is a sweet, lovable sassy cat with an endless zest for life and play! She has been waiting for her forever home since March and is more than ready to bring joy and laughter to a lucky family. Ethel absolutely loves to play—she’s a high-flying superstar when chasing feather toys, often going airborne with her impressive jumps. Her playful antics are endlessly entertaining!

When she's not showing off her acrobatic skills, Ethel likes attention and is the perfect lap companion for cozy nights in. She loves head rubs and will happily curl up by your side while you watch TV or read.

Ethel thrives as the center of attention and would prefer a home without other cats. She’s observant and loves perching in high spots, especially where she can watch birds out the window.

At about 1 ½ years old, Ethel is spayed, up to date on her vaccinations, and FIV negative. She’s playful, affectionate, and ready to be your lovable, furry best friend. Play with Ethel and you are guaranteed to laugh.

More about this rescue

Save The Animals Rescue Team II (S.T.A.R.T. II), started in 1989, is a non-profit, 501 (c) 3 status organization dedicated to alleviating the plight of homeless and abandoned companion animals. Twice a week we visit a local pound and take as many adoptable animals as we can. These animals are provided veterinary care, clean living conditions, exercise and socialization.

We work with potential adopters to find that perfect match…..giving them a "fur"- ever home for life. In addition, we educate the public on the importance of spaying/neutering as well as offering low cost options, vaccinations, preventive medications, and proper living conditions for their new and existing pets.

This lifesaving work is critical for many of these unfortunate animals, since their only crime was to be born unwanted. Since our inception, we have rescued and placed over 7,000 dogs and cats.
