My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

***The first step in the adoption process is to complete the application at www.emmetcountyanimalshelter.org***

We never know sometimes what their past is but we are so glad we get to help them have a better future!  Meet Otter!!!  Found at a farm just near the shelter on a cold day, Otter seemed like he really wasn't meant to be outside.  His friendly and outgoing personality made him stand out amongst the farm's current barn cats (all of them fixed of course) and so we posted him as a 'found' cat thinking someone must certainly be looking for this gentle guy.  No one called. No one messaged and No one inquired so Otter, now dubbed one of the most loveable guys we've had, is now looking for a home in which he will never find himself outside on a cold December day.  Otter's gentle demeanor and loveable personality would be a great fit for any home with other gentle cats, dogs and respectful children.  He is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, microchipped and negative for FeLV/FIV and always our adoption fees for cats/kitten are free will to approved applicants.

More about this shelter

The ECAS is an all volunteer, no kill shelter. Our mission is to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome pets in need due to neglect, abandonment, abuse or from simply not being wanted! We started in 2010 due to a need in our community. We are currently a foster based organization and we are currently building our new shelter facility. We work hand in hand with other rescue and shelters in the area to help out when and where we are needed.
