My name is Adelaide IV!

Adelaide is a 4-year-old dog who loves people and has a heart full of love to give. She’s a gentle, sweet girl who is good with other dogs but not a fan of cats. Adelaide hasn’t met kids yet, but she’s kind and friendly to everyone, so she’d likely do great with them too! Adelaide’s life hasn’t been easy. She was found as a stray, and the person who rescued her noticed she wasn’t using one of her front legs. After some tests, it turned out her leg was broken. Adelaide also had heartworms and hadn’t been spayed yet. But even after all of this, she stayed happy and sweet. Her foster family helped her through surgery to repair her leg, but when it didn’t work, her leg had to be removed. Now, she’s a tripawd (three-legged dog), and she’s doing amazing! Adelaide is crate trained, potty trained, and walks nicely on a leash. She’s also very smart and knows how to sit, especially if you have a treat! She doesn’t need tons of exercise but enjoys short walks and spending time in the backyard. While she hasn’t shown much interest in toys, she loves stuffed animals and gets curious when she hears squeaky noises. This lovable pup is happiest when she’s cuddling with her people. She likes following her foster family around and getting all the pets and snuggles she can. Adelaide is food-motivated and loves treats, which makes her easy to train. Adelaide would do well in a home where she can have a routine and lots of love. She’s been through so much, but her joyful spirit and resilience shine. Whoever adopts Adelaide will have a loyal, affectionate companion who’s ready to fill their life with love.
