Hi there! I'm Chandra, a one-year-old labrador mix with a beautiful smile! Chandra, came from a high-kill shelter within moments of being euthanized. Chandra is a vibrant young dog with a shy exterior that belies a profound capacity for affection and loyalty. As she ventures into new experiences, Chandra's resilient spirit shines brightly, revealing her ability to overcome being dumped by her owner and left her with only a pink collar. By embracing and nurturing Chandra's unique personality, her future family will be fortunate to have a devoted and loving companion.

Our dogs are transported to a predetermined location agreed upon by the rescue. The adoption contract and fee are finalized prior to transport. As a Pep's Pals Rescue direct adoption, the adoption interview/meet and greet occurs on video call (Skype, FB Messenger call, Facetime, etc).

Our adoption fee is $250 plus health certificate and transport (if you are out of state - varies by location). This fee includes all current vaccinations, deworming, microchip (additional $12.99 registration fee required at time of adoption), spay/neuter, and a heartworm test if over 6 months old. All dogs are current on flea/tick and heartworm prevention. A health exam will be completed and a health certificate issued by a veterinarian within 10 days of transport.

After an applicant has been screened, we conduct a home visit, vet reference check and personal reference checks. If the applicant is approved, we schedule a meet and greet.

We arrange in-person meet and greets with our foster families once an applicant is approved as long as the dog is local and if not local, then the meet and greet will be done virtually.

Pep's Pals is named after Pepper, a lab who gave so much love to the founder of Pep's Pals and her family. We carry on his legacy by loving and caring for the dogs & cats who need to know what it is like to be a part of a family. Pepper was kind to every human and fur friend he met. We believe that's how Pepper would want us to carry out our mission.
