If you're looking for a loyal, loving companion with a heart of gold, Garfield is your guy. This adorable orange kitty is as sweet as can be—just like the famous cartoon cat he shares his name with! Garfield’s journey hasn’t been an easy one, but his resilience and kind nature will make him the perfect addition to the right home.

Garfield came to FFF after surviving for years on his own after he was left alone to fend for himself in a trailer park, following the death of his previous owner. Though the years of solitude took a toll on him, Garfield is a survivor. Slowly, he's been regaining his trust in humans and showing his loving, affectionate side.

Currently in a busy and bustling foster home, Garfield is thriving, but he would really appreciate a quieter, calmer environment to call his own. While he does well in his current home with lots of activity, he tends to be more comfortable in a space where things are a bit more peaceful. For this reason, older kids who understand and respect his boundaries would be a great fit for him. Garfield would do fine as a solo cat as long as he has a lot of love from his people! He hasn't met other cats or dogs yet that we know of, but with a slow and patient introduction, he would likely get along just fine with other pets.

Despite his initially quiet demeanor, Garfield has bursts of playful energy, and you might catch him playing peek-a-boo with you behind the couch! When it comes to toys, this sweet guy has a particular fondness for anything with catnip, especially his beloved catnip mice. Watching his excitement when catnip is involved is sure to bring a smile to your face.

Garfield loves to be pampered with affection—he’s a total cuddlebug and will follow you around, wanting to be by your side at all times. He’s even been known to try and break through doors just to stay close to his people. His need for companionship is deep, and the bond he forms with his humans is incredibly special.

Sign Adoption Contract

You will be emailed a link to our online adoption contract. Simply fill it out online to transfer ownership from the rescue to you!

Pay Fee

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines. We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent. We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level. This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue. Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day. Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet. We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier. If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day. If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home. We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age. We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.
