If sweet, but a little reserved is what you are looking for this is your girl. This is Yana, she came to us when a good citizen found her and her kittens in a box when her kittens were just weeks old. He took her in the babies in, helped Momma raise the babies and now everyone is looking for a new home. It has been reported that this lady is a little more cautious, she likes to observe before she jumps right in. She is however very sweet and very lovely once she knows that she is safe. She is current on her vaccines, been microchipped, spayed, treated for fleas and treated for worms.

Once we have an approved adoption application on file we will then schedule a time for you to come and meet her. Submit Application

We ask that prior to arrival at the shelter you please either call or email for further details and to get an application for the pet.

2.
Meet the Pet

When you appointment time has been set, we will have you come and meet your pet.

3.
Take the Pet Home

If all goes well the pet can go home with you the same day.

Additional adoption info

Cats $150.00

All cat adoption fees include leukemia testing, spaying or neutering, entire series of vaccines, de-wormer & flea treatment while at the shelter, microchipping, free vet check within 14 days of adoption at any local Columbia County Veterinarian, a complimentary adoption take-home packet and a carrier.

Puppies (under 6 months of age)................................$350.00

Dogs (over 7 months of age).......................................$250.00

All dog adoption fees include , spaying or neutering, current on vaccines, de-wormer & flea treatment while at the shelter, microchipping, free vet check within 14 days of adoption at participating local Columbia County Veterinarian, complimentary take-home adoption packet and a leash and collar.

All adoptions must be reviewed prior to approval. In order to ensure that every dog and cat goes to the appropriate home, Columbia Humane Society reserves the right to approve or deny any adoption application for any reason they see fit. A home check may be performed in order to determine suitability. Columbia Humane Society's kennels are not open to the public, all applications must be filled out prior to meeting with a pet.
