Meet Gracie, a stunning 4-year-old German Shepherd with a heart full of love and a spirit bursting with joy! This 80-pound beauty is the perfect blend of affectionate, playful, and devoted. Gracie is happiest when she’s outdoors, whether it’s exploring on walks or engaging in her favorite pastime—playing fetch. She’ll gently drop her ball at your feet, gazing up with those soulful eyes, ready for the next round.

While treats aren’t her thing, Gracie’s true motivation is toys, and she loves nothing more than a rousing game in a fenced yard. Her striking looks match her strength, both physically and mentally, and she thrives with humans who can provide her with consistent guidance and fun mental challenges.

Gracie is house-trained, crate-trained, and a quiet, polite companion indoors. She may occasionally forget her house manners (a countertop can be tempting!), but she’s a quick learner who responds well to gentle corrections. Gracie adores her humans and wants to be the center of your world—she asks for a home where she can soak up all your love as the only pet.

Since we make a lifetime commitment to any animal that comes into our program, we only adopt out animals to people in our area..

If you are interested in adopting a CAWS cat or dog, please fill out the online application at http://www.caws.org/application/, email adopt@caws.org or call 328-4731. For the most timely response applying online is recommended.

We respond as quickly as possible but as we are a volunteer based organization and do not have full time staff, we respond as quickly as possible.

CAWS does not have a conventional shelter facility - all CAWS animals waiting for adoption are in foster homes. The number of animals we can help find new homes for is closely linked to how many CAWS foster homes are available. CAWS volunteers bring cats and dogs to the PetSmart near 2100 South and 300 West in South Salt Lake on the third and fourth weekends of each month

We are also at the Sugarhouse PETCO (1165 Wilmington Ave) the first Saturday of each month.
