Welcome Rusty to CCPAL foster program. Rusty is a 10 month old Pit Bull mixed dog. He is friendly with all people, even strangers. He lives with a female Staffordshire and a miniature Schnauzer and he does great with both. He is trained to use a doggy door. He is good in a crate and other dogs. He loves men the most and in my opinion, would make a wonderful companion for a man. He automatically likes their leadership and responds well to direction. He knows sit and does not potty in the house. He weighs about 60 pounds and while he does pull on leash, he likes to go on walks. His ears were cropped when we got them. They don’t look like a vet cropped but them, it looks more like a home crop job done incorrectly. He knows sit and will do it when asked. He is rambunctious as are many puppies and will do well with older children. He is not a big shedder and a very clean boy. He will stay in foster care waiting for his adoption. He will be neutered soon, heartworm negative and getting his vaccinations. He would be great for an active companion wanting an active dog to go along. He would be great for a jogger, walker or runner. He is currently in Texas and can be adopted locally or we can work with one of the wonderful transporters to Washington, Portland, Minnesota, Vermont or all along the Est Coast. His adoption fee is 400 and transport is 200. Rhode Island and Massachusetts are not states we adopt to because of the regulations imposed by these states Contact Marlene at 210-867-1769 or email to ccpalinquiries@gmail.com if you have questions. Online applications at www.ccpalrescue.org See hia cute video!!

Once this step is done we will arrange for transport. We use ground transports when possible.
Additional adoption info
You will fill out an application. We will call references and your vet. Once complete we will do a criminal background check and interview you. We are then ready to set up a transport for you to receive your dog. The transport fee is 160-180 for a ground transport to Washington. We also work with the airlines to fly dogs and have great rates to fly. We work out all the details of the transport so you will not need to worry about that.

We are in Pipe Creek, Texas on an acreage. We will be using a transporter to deliver the dogs to New Jersey once they are adopted. We can let you speak to our Kennel Manager, Troy, who works with the dogs everyday. We also will provide the most current pictures and videos to help in your decision. Only the very best dogs will be transported.
