My name is Scooter!

Scooter is from Texas and is 8. I inherited her after a family member passed away and that family member additionally had inherited her (just 6 months prior) after a death. I believe that she had previously been physically abused and neglected as she was aggressive when she came to live in our home.

I’ve seen tremendous growth from her in the 18 months that she has been part of our family. She is still skittish around strangers, especially men. She can and has been calm and accepting of cats and small dogs, with some gradual exposure.

She is still trainable and willing to learn! We have taught her to sit, stay, and be house trained. She has experience on a leash and does okay.

My family is going through financial and housing hardships. We have been living in an RV for 6 months and Scooter needs more space and care than we can provide.

She needs a seasoned and patient new owner but can make an amazing new best friend!
