SAAP just picked Libra up from a shelter, where he was a staff favorite and got along great with a volunteer's girls. Libra got to enjoy being dressed up, and rode great in the car. He can play a little rough, so kids who know how to play with dogs would be a best fit for him.
Libra is now in his foster home and he's a good boy! He gets along well with dogs and cats, and is playing nicely with my dog who is half his size and usually scared of larger dogs. He is STRONG and tends to pull on the leash, but he is already improving on leash-training after just a few minutes of setting boundaries - like a lightbulb went off and he was like, OK, I'm not supposed to pull! We're working on it, and he wants to please his people!
Libra is already housebroken and crate-trained too, and with a chew toy or peanut-butter-filled Kong, is content in his crate for a long time, and quiet overnight. Actually he doesn't bark much at all, at least compared to my resident dogs. This boy knows "sit" and is learning "down" or "off," and is smart and willing to learn, and learns fast! He just wants to be snuggled and loved on, and he'll give you all the kisses you could ever want!
