My name is Josie!

Josie was rescued in the fall of 2020. We don’t know anything about her life prior to us other than she had been adopted a few times before and returned to the rescue for her behavior. She is a total love bug with people and has never shown any aggression or resource guarding with humans, including none with children of any age. She loves to snuggle on the couch with people. She does have extremely high prey drive & will chase to try & kill small animals such as cats, bunnies, squirrels, etc. but is trained off leash using an electronic collar.
She has gone through a lot of training for her dog reactivity & will whine when seeing other dogs but walks very nicely on a pinch collar. She has come a long way with her reactivity towards other dogs but cannot be trusted in close proximity with them, especially if they get in her face. She will resource guards bones, toys, and people for attention. She loves off leash hiking, but isn’t a fan of water! She truly is a lovebug with people.
