My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Casper! 1yr old, fixed, 50ish lb, lab/pit mix. He is currently in foster care, and here is what they have to say about him:
"I’ve been fostering Casper for a month now- before that he spent almost 6 weeks in the shelter, and was completely shutting down- running to the back of his kennel when people came near, refusing treats and food. Since being in foster, he has come out of his shell SO much and is gaining confidence everyday!
He’s the perfect mix of puppy and adult. SO playful- loves his stuffies, zoomies on the regular, but is perfectly fine with afternoon naps and snuggled up on the couch during movies. He really loves exploring new things. He’s great in the car and so curious about everything. I think he would really thrive as being someone’s “adventure buddy”. He loves going for walks in the woods!
Come get this sweet baby! He is indeed still a baby at only 1yr old- but he does know “sit” and “paw”. This dog is the exact kind of dog that is easily trainable- he’s highly treat driven, wants to please his person, and so fiercly loyal! With those traits, some time, patience, and routine- he is going to make an AMAZING dog. If you think you could open your world to this boy, please meet him! Casper has done well with children he met in public. Interested in this loving boy? Submit your application at sjras.org!
