My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet our resident goofball, Tallulah!
Tallulah has been with us since kittenhood and would really love to find a home of her own. Growing up in the shelter environment was not ideal for a single kitten and as a result, she wasn't able to learn any manners. She can be a bit mouthy but this is just her way of communicating that she wants to play and she is quite harmless.
Tallulah has a lot of energy and absolutely loves to play; she is obsessed with her wand toy but she can also chase her mouse toy for hours and even plays fetch. She is such a smart girl and is an ace at treat puzzles, which are good tools to keep her brain occupied.
In addition to her adorable quirks, Tallulah loves cuddling with her humans and can be a total sweetheart when she wants to be. Her mannerisms and expressions are absolutely hilarious and she's a really fun cat who would bring so much laughter to any home. Tallulah does well with other cats who respect her boundaries but would also do well alone with a person who matches her energy!
This amazing girl has waited so long to find the home of her dreams; are you willing to give Tallulah a chance?

More about this shelter

Ramapo-Bergen Animal Refuge, Inc. is founded on the belief that all animals have a natural right to humane treatment including proper care and safe shelter. Due to overpopulation, there are insufficient homes for most cats and dogs. Some are lucky enough to find temporary shelter and a few even find permanent homes. However it is a devastating fact that the majority are either euthanized or forced to chance life without shelter.

To support our belief and to relieve the unnecessary suffering of animals, we shall:
1.Extend every effort to find, evaluate, and secure good adoptive homes for animals in our care.
2.Provide animals with medical services and behavior therapy to the extent of our ability.
3.Adhere to a “no-kill” policy: animals shall not be euthanized for the purpose of providing space for new animals.
4.Adhere to a 100% spay and neuter policy.
5.Maintain continuing humane education programs and in particular to schools.
