Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Looks like: German Shepard
Female, 11 years old (estimated), 70 pounds
Meet Zoey, an older girl with a young but gentle soul! This sweet gal is full of love and just wants to show everyone how much she cares through infinite tail wags and big tongue smiles!
Zoey was well cared for by her previous guardian, as she seems house-trained and loves riding in the car! She does have a bit of strength left in her, so Zoey is looking for a person who can handle her pulling on the leash. We think she is pulling primarily because she is trying to go and find her former guardian (heartbreaking!), but we know that once she finds her next forever home, she will settle right in. Zoey is in her golden years and is looking for someone with a big heart to scoop her up and spoil her rotten! Could that be you?
Zoey's guardian passed away, and the family member who was left with her was unable to care for her. When she went missing and ended up at the shelter, the family member surrendered her to Hitchcock Road Animal Services to be re-homed.
