My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

REHOME - Freya is a wonderful senior Blue Doberman Pinscher. Unfortunately, her current owner is not able to afford her medical care any longer is looking for find a better living situation for her. Freya loves cuddles, naps, treats, and the occasional chase around the yard. She's very docile. She has pemphigus vulgaris (an autoimmune skin condition) which she had since she was 3 years old. She also has some age-related kidney challenges and some slight incontinence. She is on medication to help with her conditions (i.e., prednisone, incurin, and cyclosporine). When she's on her meds, her skin is only a little inflamed and she doesn't wet herself. Freya is located in Coral Gables. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our goal is to make the adoption process as thorough and easy as possible. If you are interested in adopting a dog, the first thing we will ask you to do is complete our online Adoption Application. Upon review of your application, a decision to approve or decline will be made. If approved, we will schedule a time for your to meet the dog you are interested in adopting. If there is a match, a home visit will be conducted before the final adoption decision is made. Once the final approval is made, an Adoption Agreement is signed and the adoption is complete.

More about this rescue

Happy Tails Dog Rescue is a foster-based registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, vetting, and rehoming dogs from kill shelters in Southern Florida. We are a husband and wife team, together with a small team of volunteers who rescue, vet dogs, and rehome dogs who are about to be euthanized. It is our goal to provide the necessary veterinary care, grooming, and attention they may need to ultimately place them in forever homes.
