My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Max the Healer! ❤️

Max is a 2-year-old, 70-80 lb bundle of love and energy looking for a new home where he can thrive. Raised since he was a puppy, Max has been a loyal companion to his owner, who unfortunately can no longer care for him due to medical conditions.

Max is incredibly friendly, loves being around people, and has lived with children. While he isn’t crate-trained and would do best in a cat-free home (he loves to chase), Max’s affectionate and playful personality makes him a joy to be around. He loves to be near his person and would make a great ranch dog with the right training, as he has a natural herding instinct and plenty of energy.

This is a courtesy post. If you’re interested in giving Max the loving home he deserves, please reach out directly to his current owner:
Renee Reyes at (707) 530-4703
Email: renee1970reyes@yahoo.com

Help Max find the perfect home where he can continue to spread his love and loyalty!

All animals are up-to-date on vaccinations (including rabies if over 4 months old), microchipped, and spayed or neutered. All dogs have been been vaccinated with DHPP and Bordatella (kennel cough) and heartworm tested negative (if over 6 months).    All cats have been vaccinated with FVRCP and current on flea control. Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

*The shelter is currently open for adoptions by appointment only. Please email us at adoptycas@gmail.com if you are interested in adopting.
For other shelter services, please call us at (530) 668-5287*

To adopt you must have a photo ID and proof of your current address. If not on your ID then bring in a bill with your name and your current address. If you rent you must provide a lease clearly stating the pet policy or provide a name and phone number for your landlord so that we may confirm the pet policy. If you own your home you may provide a mortgage statement or property tax bill for proof.

You must be 18 years or older to adopt.

If you wish to adopt a dog and have other dog(s) at home, please bring them with you to the shelter so that they may meet. Even if your dog is wonderful with other dogs, many of the dogs at the shelter have come in as strays so we have no history on them and need to be sure they get along with your pet(s).

If you have any other questions, please go to www.yolocountysheriff.com or call the shelter for more information.
